dnata Airport Services Australia is a ground handling company providing services to airlines and airport operators across Australia. We offer services in ground handling, cargo, travel and flight catering across five continents. We have an exciting opportunity to join the team. The role will play a vital role in managing the financial activities and ensuring financial compliance within the organization. This position involves maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and contributing to financial planning and analysis specific to airport services. Primary duties and responsibilities: - Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals and accounts payable/receivable.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and industry-specific financial regulations
- Responsible to produce timely and accurate weekly and monthly reporting for the Ground Services business units
- Preparing financial statements for presentation to boards of directors, management, shareholders, governing bodies and statutory bodies • Conducting financial investigations, preparing reports, and undertaking audits. Generate and oversee billing processes for airline and airport clients.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of invoicing.
- Assist managers in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements specific to airport operations.
- Provide financial reports tailored to the needs of management and stakeholders in the aviation industry.
- Prepare and file tax returns related to airport services, ensuring compliance with aviation tax regulations.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws affecting the aviation industry.
- Complete and assist all ad-hoc accounting duties required by management.
- Support system conversions, upgrades and enhancements
WH&S Responsibilities: - Comply with the dnata WHS Policy and related Group Policies.
- Comply with legislative WH & S requirements.
- Conduct work in accordance with dnata’s WH & S Management System and customer WH& S requirements.
- Follow all safety work procedures, adhering to all safety guidelines provided.
- Attend WH& S induction and training as directed by the business.
- When applicable wear the required personal protective clothing and equipment.
Essential Criteria: - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Experience in management reporting
- A high level of proficiency in the use of Excel, as well as financial modelling experience is vital for success
- Strong analytical and data collection skills
- Effective stakeholder engagement and strong communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Positive attitude and willingness to complete tasks
