With over 60 years of experience, we offer a full range of services to our Airline customers - Passenger and Customer Services, Ramp activities and Cargo handling in all major airports around Australia. Our Ground Services team has an exciting opportunity for a highly resourceful and passionate Senior Workforce Analyst whom will report directly to the National Workforce Planning Manager. This role is a full-time position and will have a national scope. This is role plays pivotal role in delivering national strategic workforce planning and analysis for all operational workgroups within dnata Australia’s Ground Handling. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Maintaining the national workforce supply and demand model to forecast resource availability for operations
- Governing leave and training to assure daily supply of resources
- Optimising resource allocation across Ground Handling to deliver safe and reliable operations while minimising operating labour cost
- Developing seasonal baseline plans based on flight schedules and feedback from operational stakeholders
- Providing expert, data-driven, advice and modelling to stakeholders to support financial, commercial, and operational decision making
- Analysing and reporting regularly on key workforce metrics to track availability and efficiency of resources across all ports and workgroups
- Coaching and mentoring other team members to improve critical thinking and data literacy capabilities within the wider planning function
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA - Bachelor’s degree in data, finance, economics, aviation or related discipline OR equivalent experience
- Demonstrated success translating large and varied datasets into actionable insights for senior audiences
- Experience leading continuous improvement / operational excellence initiatives to improve performance
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex operational and planning concepts for a variety of audiences
- Ability to deliver under pressure and managing competing priorities and stakeholders
- Highly proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of tools
- Ability to meet aviation security and safety requirements
DESIRABLE CRITERIA - Experience leading workforce planning / modelling in an aviation, transport or operational setting
- Proven ability to improve planning or operational outcomes in industrially sensitive environments
- Experience using operational planning, scheduling and rostering software
- Experience with Power BI or other Business Intelligence platforms
