Financial Planning Analyst
Sydney Airport

dnata is one of the world's largest air services providers offering ground handling, cargo, travel and flight catering services across five continents.

 

Our Finance team has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, outcomes focused individual with strong analytical skills to join our team as a Financial Planning Analyst on a 6 month, full time contract. 

 

In this role, you will undertake departmental level financial analysis, planning and reporting activities, facilitating financial performance management, informed decision making and provision of strategic insight to our Finance Manager and Executive Management Team. 

 

A day in the life:

  • Responsible for the production of timely and accurate daily, weekly and monthly reporting for the Cargo business unit.
  • Provide effective finance business partnering support to Operational stakeholders to drive better commercial decision making and understanding.
  • Partnering with the business on financial modelling in support of CAPEX.
  • Assisting our Commercial team in new business development, tender creation and retrospective reviews.
  • Develop financial modelling and scenario analysis and advice to support decision making.
  • Evaluate financial performance and KPI’s by comparing and analysing actual results with budget and forecasts, recommending actions for optimisation.
  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision support.
  • Complete and assist all ad-hoc analysis requirements by management.
  • Support system conversions, upgrades, enhancements.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification(s)
  • A high level of proficiency in the use of Excel, as well as financial modelling experience (this will be vital to your success)
  • Experience in business performance and developing KPIs and dashboard reporting
  • Strong analytical and data gathering skills 
  • Positive can do attitude and willingness to go above and beyond
  • Sense of humour (essential!!)
  • High level of commercial acumen
