Passenger Services Training Coordinator

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

 

The Passenger Services Training Coordinator is responsible for the facilitation and organisation of the port-based training and development team.  They will ensure local compliance with industry standards and dnata requirements. With a focus of ensuring that training records and data is maintained. Partner with the National Training Team to ensure local training database and records are compliant.

 

The Passenger Services Training Coordinator will manage will manage a program of training through a combination of administrative, classroom-based, on the job training, and operational functions ensuring compliance with industry standards and the requirements in the VET (Vocational Education and Training) Quality Framework for Registered Training Organisations (RTO).

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  •  Lead the local delivery of a client centric, commercially focused, compliant training and development programs consistent with industry standards;
  • Lead, manage and manage port-based training team members including coaching and mentoring and performance feedback to achieve high levels of performance and service excellence;
  • Manage regular site audits to ensure the consistent application of approved programs, maintenance of training records and ongoing adherence to the Standards for VET & RTO requirements
  • Manage on-the-job team coaching, mentoring and performance feedback to achieve high levels of performance and service excellence;
  • Lead significant stakeholder engagement and consultation to ensure the delivery of a wide range of stakeholder expectations, diverse interests and demands;
  • Implement and monitor curriculum, course content and delivery methodology ensuring compliance to industry standards, regulations, legislation and dnata Airport Services’ policy and procedure;
  • Control effective operational training rosters and budget management to ensure highly effective, cost efficient and quality business outcomes;
  • Develop and provide quality metrics and reporting on critical training delivery;
  • Lead and embed a positive safety culture within the team focussed on awareness and vigilance.
  • Monitor the quality of training preparation, delivery, and assessment of all courses conducted working closely with Training and Development Specialists/Subject Matter Experts and the National Training and Development Manager

 

OH & S Responsibilities

  • Compliance with the dnata Safety and Environment Policies
  • Compliance with legislative Health & Safety requirements
  • Develop and maintain a positive safety culture focused on awareness and vigilance.
  • Conduct work in accordance with dnata’s Health & Safety Management System;
  • Follow all safety work procedures, adhering to all safety guidelines provided;
  • Participate in emergency drills and/or evacuations

 

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Post graduate qualification in a relevant discipline or as a minimum, a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE or TAA)
  • Extensive leadership experience and a commitment to driving a customer centric service culture within the team;
  • Previous experience in a highly controlled and regulated industry with the ability to lead, translate, implement and manage ongoing compliance, industry standards and legislative requirements into curriculum and course delivery methodologies;
  • Promote a learning environment that ensures compliance with all legislative and corporate governance requirements and Registered Training Organisation (RTO) standards.
  • Highly developed communication skills both written and oral and negotiation skills;
  • Record of achievement in building and fostering relationships with key stakeholders;
  • Sound level of understanding of financial and budget processes and ability to drive culture change and business improvement initiatives.
  • Able to obtain and maintain ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card)
  • Must be willing to travel to other states as and when required 

 

Desirable Criteria

  • Previous experience in or knowledge of airline industry principles and procedures
  • Certificate III in Aviation or demonstrated equivalent experience
  • Valid State license
