Station Supervisor - Melbourne

our sister company, Cabin Services Australia have an exciting opportunity for a Station Supervisor to join the team at Melbourne Airport on a fulltime basis.

 

The role will be responsible for monitoring the labor budget by planning and effectively distributing resources to ensure the operation is running effectively while ensuring a consistent service level is delivered to our customers. You will have a passion to coach and develop staff throughout the employee journey in-line with CSA and customer guidelines.

 

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Logistical allocation of staff around the airport
  • Responsible for strategic decisions in case of delayed aircraft departures to ensure that customer requirements are met
  • Monitor and control activities against budget, ensure maximum efficiencies are achieved to improve budgetary targets;
    Monitor effectiveness of procedures and make recommendations for improvement
  • Professionally liaise with airline representatives as required 
  • Conduct quality audits and surveillance on the work performed during routine and non-routine to ensure the aircraft is completed to expected standard
  • Monitor individual employee performance against standards and set KPI’s
  • Prepare and issue audit reports and identify required corrective actions
  • Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts when necessary
  • Comply and ensure all staff under your direction are complying with WHS, Airport security, Biosecurity, Airside driving and other regulations
  • Carry out various administrative & reporting duties as requried

More about you:

  • Background in Aviation (desirable however not essential)
  • Demonstrated skills set in leadership, decision making and organisational skills 
  • Ability to create a harmonious team working environment
  • An advocate for promoting a safe and compliant workforce
  • Strong computer literacy – across Microsoft Office
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work part of a team 
  • Willing to commit to a rotating roster including mornings, evenings and afternoons shifts 
  • Proven ability to exercise discretion at all times
