Procurement Manager

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

 

As the Procurement Manager reporting to the Finance Director, you will be entrusted with the crucial responsibility of overseeing the entire procurement process. This includes sourcing, supplier relationship management, contract negotiation and vendor performance evaluation.

 

We are seeking a strategic thinker with robust analytical skills, negotiation abilities and a profound understanding of supply chain management principles to excel in this role.

 

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Review and enhance current processes to align with Group Corporate Governance framework (the dnata Way). Leverage RFP management software for efficient procurement process management.
  • Take ownership of managing contracts and supplier relationships to meet operational needs effectively.
  • Collaborate closely with our Director team to develop cutting-edge procurement strategies tailored to property-specific sourcing projects, setting new standards of excellence.
  • Monitor procurement processes, identifying enhancement opportunities within our governance framework to drive evolution and optimisation.
  • Partner with business managers to forecast, plan, and optimise spending across relevant categories, fostering financial efficiency and team empowerment.
  • Research and select suppliers/vendors meeting company goals, certifications, accreditations, and budget constraints.
  • Forge powerful partnerships with key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with procurement strategies, policies, and procedures, thereby maintaining compliance and fostering trust.
  • Periodically assess and prioritize procurement types and relationships, leveraging data-driven approaches to fuel success.
  • Extend expertise to support procurement activities for projects across various teams, driving collective success.
  • Establish and execute maintenance programs for buildings, equipment, and vehicles to meet organizational standards and regulatory requirements.

 

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Aviation or Contract Management or related fields. A Master's degree is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in senior facilities management roles, demonstrating expertise in negotiating and managing contracts/projects.
  • Proficiency in negotiating contracts and utilizing inventory and RFP management software.
  • Previous experience in aviation environments and an understanding of airport operations.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational and project management abilities.
  • Budget management experience and financial acumen.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
