dnata is one of the world's largest air services providers offering ground handling, cargo, travel and flight catering services across five continents. We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Junior Accountant to join our Finance team on a fulltime basis. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the position is responsible for financial reporting for compliance, auditing, insolvency, and accounting information systems, while providing guidance on record-keeping requirements. The role also involves managing all aspects of the accounting function within the accounts receivable team, ensuring a high standard of customer service that meets the needs of both internal and external customers. Primary duties & Responsibilities - Preparing and presenting journal entries and reports on outstanding invoices, collections, and aging accounts to management.
- Assisting in processing balance sheets and income statements.
- Assisting in the development of budgetary and accounting policies.
- Improving and maintaining accounting systems and processes.
- Maintaining internal control systems and evaluating cash flow and financial risks for customers.
- Analyzing operational costs and assessing income and expenditure.
- Ensuring accurate and timely billing to customers by raising invoices and credit notes and promptly resolving billing issues.
- Investigating and resolving disputes to customer satisfaction while identifying opportunities to enhance invoicing and related processes.
- Ensuring the timely collection and effective credit management of accounts receivable balances
- Assisting in the preparation of monthly and yearly closings to support business strategies and operational decisions.
To be successful in the role, you will need: - An understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience in high volume accounting practices.
- Possess a customer service focus and display professionalism towards both internal and external customers at all time.
- Excellent computer skills, advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Well-developed communication skills and the ability to stay patient, negotiate and proactively solve problems; and
- Ability to prioritise, with excellent time management skills.
