The Role in a Nutshell

This role is responsible for managing the full commercial lifecycle for new and existing customers. This role is accountable for the development and management of an integrated commercial strategy for the assigned customer portfolio in Grond Handling. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth through driving performance and maintaining current customer contracts yield and brand management along with strategic customer acquisition, contract negotiation and management, financial modelling, and long-term relationship development. You will serve as the primary commercial point of contact for customers, ensuring alignment with business goals and delivering sustainable value.

 

Know How, Skills, Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development or commercial management within the aviation or ground handling industry.
  • Proven track record of successful contract negotiation and complex deal management.
  • Strong knowledge of operational/billing systems (preferable Findnet)
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with financial modelling tools.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and commercial pipeline management tools (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Experience working with airlines, MROs, OEMs, or airport authorities.
  • Understanding of aviation regulatory frameworks and commercial norms.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Aviation Management, Finance, or related field.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal and demonstrated ability to communicate and influence both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to build and foster strong relationships with customers, suppliers and other key stakeholders in the industry
  • Demonstrated ability managing diversity in client and workforce relationships
  • Agile business thinker
  • Bi-lingual in language/s of customers desirable
