Billing Officer
Mascot, NSW (Head Office)

dnata Airport Services Australia are excited to announce a new opportunity for a Billing Officer to join our dynamic Finance Team. In this role, you will report directly to the Business & Systems Analysis Manager and be responsible for ensuring the effective operation and usage of our FiNDnet Billing system.

 

As our Billings Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate preparation and distribution of customer invoices, as well as finding solutions for any billing related issues. Your excellent problem-solving skills and ability to provide first-line support and reporting will be essential to your success in this role.

 

A day in the life: 

  • Management of the FiNDnet Billing system including importing flights and transactions into FiNDnet billing daily and ensuring export and integration is complete and accurate. 
  • Validating the accuracy of invoices based on contracts, ensuring timely issuance, and confirming that billing data is entered and processed correctly.
  • Drafting ad hoc invoices for charter customers and use billing expertise to help resolve charge-related issues.
  • Prepare billing reports and summaries for management review
  • Support collections team in resolving invoice disputes, ensuring timely resolution and communication to the customer 

To succeed in this role, you will need: 

  • A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or a related finance role, with a proven track record of managing invoicing processes and resolving billing discrepancies.
    Experience with billing software, ERP systems, or accounting tools is highly preferred.
  • Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Analytics, or a related discipline; possession of aviation knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to process large volumes of data.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong communication and reporting skills
