OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

 

The IT Infrastructure Lead/ Engineer bridges IT and business, ensuring secure, resilient operations of IT systems and services. This role requires versatility in project management, documentation, solution design and support with a strong technical background and a focus on cybersecurity. Collaboration with internal and global teams, service providers, vendors and third parties is key.

 

Excellent communication skills and 3+ years in a similar lead role are essential. You will oversee hybrid infrastructure environments, working with an MSP to build capabilities and provide guidance.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee IT infrastructure, operating systems, and tools to ensure scalable, reliable platforms for business units.
  • Plan, design, implement, maintain, and support networking, servers, telephony, communications, and cloud technologies.
  • Enable and deliver IT strategy.
  • Adapt systems to meet changing business needs.
  • Implement and enforce IT policies, controls, and procedures.
  • Identify and resolve issues in coordination with the IT Manager and stakeholders.
  • Perform system audits and assessments.
  • Enforce data protection and information security, including training and awareness.
  • Collaborate with the service desk and outsourced IT providers.
  • Provide exceptional end-user support across multiple sites, inspiring and enabling

 ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Strong experience with Microsoft Domain (AD, DNS, Group Policy, SCCM), AzureAD, Azure & Office365, and multi-tenanted environments and Windows 10/11.
  • Strong experience with Cisco/Meraki product suite.
  • Experience in managing large EUC environments.
  • Experience in managing large mobility environment and devices using MDM platforms SOTI and Intune.
  • Experience with WIFI/LAN/WAN/VLAN/SD-WAN, SSE, and SASE technologies.
  • Experience operating and supporting hybrid infrastructure environments.
  • Scripting experience (Python, PowerShell, etc.).
  • Experience in building automation and workflow.
  • Experience with cyber security technologies and tools.
  • Experience with large enterprise printing systems.
  • Experience in operating in ITIL framework environments & use of ITSM tools.
  • Understanding of security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, Essential8).
  • Strong analytical, coordination, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, manage, and prioritize a varied workload.
  • Strong project management skills.

 DESIRABLE CRITERIA

  • Industry experience in Aviation, Warehouse/Logistics, or Managed Service Providers.
  • DevOps and working in AGILE teams.
  • Experience working in environments undergoing transformation.
  • Knowledge of Payroll, Finance, HR Systems.
  • Knowledge of Cargo and Aviation Systems.
